Master in Quantum Information Science and Technologies 

Training Modality

In-person. Classes will be taught from one of the three campuses and broadcasted to the other two. Students will attend the classroom that is most convenient for them. 

Language

The language of instruction will primarily be English, provided there is at least one participant who requires it. If not necessary, classes may be conducted in Spanish or Galician. A B1 English certificate or equivalent is mandatory to pass the pre-selection stage.

Admission Profile

The admission profile is that of university graduates in the field of sciences (mainly Physics but also Chemistry, Mathematics, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and other related degrees) and engineering (mainly Computer Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering, but also Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physical Engineering, and other related degrees).

In a more specific sense, knowledge in the field of Mathematics (linear algebra, analysis, probability) is required, and basic programming skills in Python are recommended.

Admission

The Academic Committee of the Master's program will be responsible for assessing the prior merits to ensure compliance with the necessary knowledge to undertake this master's program.

The concepts to be evaluated will contribute a maximum number of points according to the following table:

Undergraduate Degrees Completed
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent (6 pts.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Chemistry (5 ptos.)
  • Other Engineering degrees, Sciences, Technology, Nanotechnology, or equivalent degrees (up to 4 pts.)
Curriculum Vitae
  • Academic Record (up to 2 pts.)
  • Other master's degrees completed in subjects related to the master's program (up to 1 point.)
  • Professional or research experience in the field of the master's program (up to 1 point.)
Requirements
  • B1 certificate or equivalent English language qualification will be required.

Credit Recognition and Adaptations

The Academic Committee will establish equivalences between studies completed at other universities and those that may be recognized in the curriculum. It may also establish equivalence tables specifying the credits that are recognized.

Accredited work and professional experience may also be recognized for the validation of external internships, up to a maximum of 6 credits.

Regarding the **recognitions** for similar studies completed, a maximum of 9 ECTS (15% of the offer) is established based on the contents.
